a historic Mid Century Modern Lobby + reception space
For one of Seattle's top construction companies, it's important to have an office that reflects the level of design, detail, and craftsmanship that the company is known for. Their new corporate office lobby does just that with this industrial modern design with a Mid Century mix.

Set in a historic 1950s Mid Century building, the new interior design reflects the classic architectural details of this time period but with a modern twist. A new set of walnut louvers act as a privacy screen between the lobby and the main conference room, while showcasing a classic Mid Century detail in craftsmanship and skill.
Reflecting the prestige and reputation of the company, a sophisticated selection of furniture and finishes highlights the the elegance and quality work of the saying 'The details are not the details. The details make the design'. New porcelain tile flooring offers a tiny Mid Century detail to zone the lobby waiting area of two Mid Century armchairs in a rich black leather and walnut frame.
One of the statement features of this lobby design is the reception desk and wall. A concrete base desk with a floating walnut wood top is precisely crafted with detailed woodworking and joinery, making it beautiful alone. With the backdrop of the vintage tool wall, that hints at the company's line of work, this lobby is stunning and sophisticated without being too showy.
