If you want good energy, you need to be looking at the Feng Shui of your Bedroom. It's one the of the crucial areas for your health, and having good Feng Shui in this space can bring you more energy and a better night's rest.
However, the bedroom is a space I often see so MANY Feng Shui mistakes! It can be a tricky area to Feng Shui, but when you know what those common mistakes are, you can easily avoid them. So here they are, the top Feng Shui mistakes in your bedroom plus how to cure them.
Having your Bed Facing your Door
Your bed placement is IMPORTANT to give you the best possible sleep and energy. In Feng Shui, when your bed directly faces the entrance door to your bedroom, this is known as "the coffin position". This position is said to drain your energy. Instead, opt for moving your bed slightly off-center from the alignment of the door.
Having your Bed Against a Plumbing Wall
Bathrooms are a notoriously troublesome area according to Feng Shui. Having your head against a bathroom or plumbing wall drains your money and creates too restless of energy. If this is the best option in your room, place a heavy tapestry above your headboard and/or opt for a upholstered headboard to help slow down this water qi.
Placing a Mirror in your Bedroom
Mirrors reflect and increase energy in Feng Shui which is the opposite intention we want to have in our bedrooms. Especially when aligned with your bed, they create disruptful sleep, leaving you tired and drained. Have your mirrors in other locations such as your bathroom or closet.
Only Having One Nightstand
If you're single, it's quite common for you to have only one nightstand. But doing this is preventing a lot of balance, harmony, and love to enter your life. The bedroom in Feng Shui is connected to love and relationships, so having two nightstands helps to call this energy into your life. It also provides balancing and grounding to your energy while you sleep. These nightstands don't have to match, but be visually equal in shape and form.
Having a Fan Directly Over your Bed
If you own a builder's grade home, you probably have a ceiling fan in your bedroom. However having your bed directly underneath is considered bad energy in Feng Shui. It is associated with poor health. Instead, swap out the ceiling fan for a flush mount fixture and/or move your bed.
Having a bedroom that is properly Feng Shui'd provides you with the most optimal peace, health, and good energy. Make sure you apply these Feng Shui tips and for further Feng Shui help and guidance, check out my other Feng Shui articles and schedule your own Feng Shui Consultation for your home.
